Operation Flinders, Novita Childrens Services & World Youth International through Trailblazer Challenge
Since 2010 members of our Staffing group have participated and raised money as part of the Trailblazer Challenge and in 2012 we have 2 Teams that are planning to complete the whole 100km challenge. If our Active Ed teams raise over $10000 they will do the walk in Tights & Tutu's, so if you would like to donate to the cause please contact our Luke or Julie in the office on 8370 1500.
Operation Flinders Foundation is a South Australian based charitable organisation that runs a world leading wilderness adventure program for young offenders and young people at risk. The program takes participants between the age of 14 and 18 years on an eight day exercise in the far northern Flinders Ranges, providing an opportunity for its participants to break away from their past and grow as valued members of the community.
From these humble beginnings, Novita has grown to become one of South Australias premier childrens charities and a recognised and celebrated world leader in the research, development and provision of quality services to children and families living with physical disabilities and acquired brain injuries.
Novita currently provides essential therapy, equipment and family support to more than 2,000 children - and through broader work with families and communities, has a direct impact on more than 10,000 South Australians.
World Youth International Australia is a not for profit, non-religious & non-political international volunteer community service organisation working in the area of development, overseas aid and welfare. Founded in 1988 by the Late Robert Hoey, we impact the lives of thousands of people in Australia and overseas each year.

Child Action Lanka
Active Education has supported Child action Sri Lanka for the past 5 Years.
In 2012 Julie traveled to Sri Lanka to volunteer the organisation for 2 months check out her blog at http://julesparr.blogspot.com.au/
Child Action Lanka works to assist and transform the lives of disadvantaged children in Sri Lanka. Many of the children live and work on the streets as beggars; as such, they are often socially excluded and deprived of opportunities and respect. Hunger, neglect, exploitation and abuse are just a few of the many challenges faced by these children everyday.
At Child Action Lanka, we defy the common local belief that street children are born bad. Our purpose is to enable disadvantaged children to realize the possibilities for themselves and change their own lives for the better.
Child Action Lanka provides direct assistance to around 150 children with 60 children attending the centre and 20 toddlers being well cared for on a daily basis.
In 2011 our donation to TEAR Australia paid for a trained birth attendant or village health worker, and support for a community school for one year, including training and income for a teacher
TEAR Australia works in partnership with local Christian organisations around the world and with Indigenous Australians.
Inspired by Jesus' call to love our neighbours, regardless of background or belief, TEAR Australia focuses on projects that seek to improve the lives of the poorest and most marginalised people, uniting communities and empowering men and women as they work together to direct their own future.

CanTeen - The Australian Organisation for Young People Living with Cancer - is a national support organisation for 12 - 24 year olds who are living with cancer, and is the only organisation of its kind in Australia.
The inspiration behind CanTeen is the belief that young people are better able to cope with the uncertainties of a cancer diagnosis through meeting and talking with other young people who have had a similar experience and understand exactly what they are going through.
